13 April

Sorry i haven't keep the site up to date much over the Easter break, been a little busy, however , its been a great season so far, with everything from Slimies to big Kingfish, and Garfish to Watson's Jumping Bonito landed (There's one to google). Just the past 24hrs have seen Kingies, Bonito, Salmon, Garfish, Squid and off all things a large 'Coota (see the brag page) landed. So the season is still alive and well at the Wharf, with most anglers getting a good feed.

Large schools of Garfish have been hanging around the wharf lately, can see them but haven't seen too many landed,  the good news is this probably accounts for the large to very large Salmon and Bonito being landed at the present. Shallow diving lures seem to be working well at the present as well as an unweighted Pilly on a gang hook , left to sink a bit then retrieved at a reasonable rate.

Have spent the last 2 days down south picking up some tackle supplies, So a lot of this reports is via local hearsay. There are still plenty of Frigates, Salmon and Bonito around as well as some nice sized Stripies every now and again, Slimies are still about as well as garfish.  In amongst this lot at times are some large 'coota (seems a little strange , but I've seen these landed) I'll be heading down later today and will provide an update for the weekend

The fishing is still hanging in here, even though were heading into winter, Plenty of Salmon, Tailor and Bonito have been landed, as well as lots of Garfish congregating around the pylons. Lures seemed to be the way to go the past few days (Shiny and white metal lures seemed to do the best), as well as shallow diving lures (seemingly in any color) and of course the ever faithful Pilly on a gang hook. The salmon especially were in mixed sizes from  30cm - 45cm odd (Makes for fun trying to get them up the wharf)

14 June

This last week has seen some monster Kingfish landed at the wharf (see brag photos). There are plenty of Slimies and Yellowtail around as well as the odd Salmon. But its the Kingies everyone is trying for.

29 July

Unfortunately i haven't been able to update the site for nearly a month, Had a pile of problems, as well as a lot of trips to do, anyway were all back to normal now. For those of you who have braved the cold and ventured down to the wharf, you will have seen the introduction of G-Loomis rods on a never ever to be repeated sale. I have been able to pick up an additional 5 USA made Loomis spinning rods, That are up on the shelf, come and check them out. Also we've picked up some nice 9 ball bearing reels that I've just put up, ranging from $35 to $60 depending on the size... very nice.
Fishing wise it has been a little quiet lately. Baitfish are plentiful as well as the odd salmon and squid. Finally winter is upon us.
