06 January

Frigates have joined the summer fun at the wharf, not the large ones we get later in the season , but nice bait sized ones. The Kingfish are still around for the unweary angler, and there are some big ones in amongst them. Stripy Tuna are also in the mix, although i haven't seen one landed as yet, the good news is there have been quite a few Kingies landed. Small garfish have been in large numbers around the wharf hence the increase in pelagic's lately. Plenty of big squid have been taken in the early morning, and occasionally during the day when the weather permits

NOTE: For landing large Kingies etc, there is a cliff gaff and rope available, you can borrow them from Jenni in the shop. (If you ask nicely.....)

23 January

The past few weeks have seen plenty of Salmon and Frigates buzzing the wharf with a lot being landed. There are plenty of good sized Squid around, as well as some nice Flathead taken. The Kingfish are still around but not in the numbers they were. But with the water warming up around the Tathra area, its looking better each day

06 February

Have been in Melbourne for the start of Feb, so haven't had any reports , however, this morning we are seeing Bonito and Frigates being landed, We have a slight gap in the weather, and although the water doesn't look that good, it is producing.

07 February

Late yesterday the Bonito and Frigates made way for Salmon, however this morning we are back into large schools of Bonito, with plenty being landed.

09 February

Still plenty of Bonito and Frigates around as well as the odd Hammerhead shark, even the water color (now the mouth to the river has opened) hasn't made any difference (except Mullet were being caught late yesterday). So fare there have been catches all during the day, adding to the fun of our tourists.

13 February

Its been the best fishing for a February in a long time, up until 11:00am this morning, we've seen good catches of Bonito,Tailer, Salmon Frigates and Trevally. As well as one very big Hammerhead circling the wharf this morning. Even with the rain pouring down at times it hasn't stopped the bite. Squid is the only thing we have no reports on.

01 March

Stil plenty of Bonito and Frigates around, as well as the occasional Kingfish.There are also plenty of Yakka's and Slimies to keep the Kids and bait fishermen amused.
